Do you post to countries within the European Union?
I am based in the United Kingdom and post to many countries including Canada and the United States. However, due to Brexit and the ever increasing EU regulations, regrettably I do not post to any of the European Union countries. Please find delivery information here.
Bead care
Glass beads can be cleaned with a simple glass cloth. Glass beads featuring shiny silver glass or embedded silver wire can only be cleaned carefully with a special polishing cloth for silver, available at most grocery stores. Avoid spraying perfume, deodorant, hairspray etc when wearing your bead to avoid any damage to any special surface decoration on the bead.
All my lampwork beads are handmade and flame to kiln annealed for maximum strength and durability. However, in its lifetime, should it receive a hard knock which results in a chip or crack in the glass, then please dispose of it immediately to prevent exposure to sharp edges. Please keep all beads away from children and animals.
I've seen one of your sold out silver glass beads, can you remake it for me?
Unfortunately I now do not accept requests for remakes of my past silver glass beads as they are notoriously difficult to faithfully recreate or I just can’t remember what glass I used! I end up wasting loads of expensive glass in the process which cannot be fully recouped in the final cost of the resulting bead i’m afraid, sorry.
Do you sell your beads / jewellery anywhere else?
I started off selling on Etsy (with many 5 star reviews) and still sell some beads there, but going forward, the majority of my new beads will be listed here.
Why do handmade lampwork glass beads cost more?
A complex glass bead can take an hour or more to create. It requires a level of skill gained over many years of practice to hand manipulate molten glass rods into shapes and decoration within a flame temperature of 1500-1800C!
